ROTOTOM SUNSPLASH returns August 16-22 to the quaint little beach town of Benicassim Spain. Without question, Rototom Sunsplash is one of the most exciting reggae festivals one can ever experience. This year’s festival presents one of the most impressive line-ups of the summer including headliners Sean Paul, Burning Spear and Damian Marley. (see preliminary line up below) In true Rototom style, the organizers will create a small city of visual arts, ethnic foods, a diversity of Jamaican music genres, wellness programs, a children’s activity area and open air markets.

The festival attracts approximately 250,000 reggae lovers from all over the world who absorb cultural, intellectual and educational activities to enhance your body and mind. Special areas of the festival include Reggae University (academics, artists, producers and authors), House of Rastafari with Nyahbinghi drumming, discussions and Ital cuisine, Main Stage (headliners), Lion Stage (rising artists), Dancehall Arena, Dub Academy, African Stage, Caribbean Uptempo (ska, rocksteady, early reggae, calypso, mento and Latin Rhythms), Jumping (black roots dance music-afro, soul, r&b, funk, hip hop, dubstep, drum & bass and trap), Social Forums, Social Art Gallery and of course….more and more! (see website link below). Rototom Sunsplash hosts beach parties and on site camping.

The history of Rototom is one of social activism. For over twenty five years, the organizers have held true to their mission to provide a better world through peace, unity, eco-friendly policies and the promotion of physical and mental health. Music remains a significant influence in reaching the soul of society. Reggae music is revered and played the world over fueled by the heartfelt love of Jah.

Rototom Sunsplash provides the stage for many diverse cultures who attend and perform. This amazing festival uniquely provides the perfect blend of international reggae performances while paying appropriate and heartfelt homage to authentic Jamaican roots and cultures.
